It is self-paced
There is no instructor or tutor to push you through the programme in terms of how fast or slow to work and complete your manuals. You are the master of your own communication and leadership development and you set your own target for your awards. However, feel free to speak to the President or VPE if you need more help.
You are now are part of a club which puts together a programme based on members’ needs, so be responsible and conscious of your actions. If, for any reason, you are booked to do a speech or a role but can no longer attend the meeting, please note that you must notify our VPE immediately to cancel your slot so that it can be allocated to someone else. This will ensure that there are no gaps in our meeting Agenda, which also directly impacts our overall yearly goals as a club.
Be on time
Toastmasters practice good time management. We meet every 2nd and 4th Monday. Arrive at 6.15pm for a prompt 6.30pm start for each meeting.
Get a mentor, find a buddy and bring a friend or many friends to our club…
You can always ask any member for help!
Try your best to help other new members and when you know well how Toastmasters can benefit you, share it with your friends and bring them along.
